For Tomorrow

Concept for the Leeds Arts University End of Year Show branding, which uses a popular children’s toy to represent the university values, the diverse student body and their individual developments. Seeking to reach a broad target audience, the design is professional with a playful tone of voice.

The rollercoaster abacus withholds strong connotations of growth, play and learning. The design of this product has many compartments that weave in and around each other, aiding a strong visual representation of collaboration, and depicting a journey with twists and turns, from start to finish. The assorted shapes for moving around, signify the various courses, as well as the individuality and diversity of the students. 

The name of the exhibition encompasses what the students are working towards – designing, making, capturing, and most importantly creating, so that tomorrow is less dull.
